COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Graphic Design course provides a comprehensive and progressive learning experience that develops creativity, technical expertise, and professional awareness. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in design principles and practical skills through modules such as Graphic Design Journeys – Pathways and Disciplines and Graphic Design Unbound – Principles and Skills, exploring diverse visual communication methods and creative processes. The second year focuses on applying these skills in real-world and collaborative contexts through modules like Future Now: Collaboration in Action, Graphic Design Impact – Context and Responsibility, and Graphic Design Life – Making and Visibility, encouraging students to consider the ethical, social, and cultural dimensions of design. An optional Study Abroad – Creative Industries module offers the opportunity to gain international experience and broaden creative perspectives. The final year emphasizes professional development and creative independence through modules such as Graphic Design Being – Portfolio and Practice and Graphic Design Community – Collaboration and Participation, where students refine their personal style and produce a professional portfolio. Graduates emerge as confident, adaptable designers ready to enter the creative industries or pursue further study.
