COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Business Management and Tourism program is structured over four years to provide students with a strong foundation in business management alongside specialised tourism knowledge, preparing them for careers in the global tourism industry. In the first year, students build core skills through modules such as Contemporary Business Management, Foundations of Business, Understanding People and Cultures, and Understanding Tourism and Hospitality Industries, developing analytical, cultural, and industry-specific awareness. The second year expands knowledge with core modules including Applied Business Management Practices, Innovations in Tourism Marketing, Managing Business and Financial Performance, and Sustainability Management for Hospitality and Tourism Businesses, integrating coursework and practical assessments. Students also have elective options, including Study Abroad opportunities, allowing them to gain international experience and broaden their understanding of global tourism markets. In the final year, students consolidate their learning with core modules such as the Consultancy Project in Business Management, Developing Tourism Futures, Responsible Global Tourism Planning, and Strategy in the Global and Digital Environment, focusing on strategic, innovative, and responsible approaches to tourism. This structure equips graduates with leadership, analytical, and operational skills, enabling them to pursue careers in tourism management, hospitality, travel consultancy, sustainable tourism development, and other international tourism sectors.
