COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Honours) Acting and Performance program is structured over four years to provide a comprehensive education in performance, combining practical training, theoretical study, and professional experience. In the first year, students develop foundational skills through modules such as Acting for Recorded Media, Actor in the World, Actor’s Toolkit: Body, Space, Text, and Collective Creation, which integrate coursework and practical assessments to build versatility, technical ability, and collaborative skills. The second year expands these competencies with modules including Acting with Texts, Contemporary Performance, Creating Digital Media, and Participatory Practices, allowing students to explore advanced techniques, digital performance, and audience engagement. Students also have the opportunity to undertake an elective Study Abroad module in Creative Industries, gaining international experience and exposure to different performance practices. The final year consolidates learning through advanced performance modules such as Advanced Acting Showcase, Digital Performance Lab, Future Now Festival, and Professional Practitioner, emphasizing both individual and collaborative projects while preparing students for careers in theatre, film, television, and digital media. This progression ensures graduates leave with a versatile, professional, and industry-informed skillset, ready to succeed in a competitive performing arts environment.
