COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Health Studies program at Royal Holloway, University of London provides a comprehensive education in understanding and promoting human and environmental health. In the first year, students build foundational knowledge through modules such as Introduction to Human Science, Determinants of Health, Health Systems and Quality Improvement Frameworks, and Health Workforce, alongside a professional placement to gain practical experience. In the second year, the focus shifts to more applied learning, including modules on Physical and Mental Health Conditions, Health Promotion and Protection Frameworks, Sustainable Living, Evaluating Evidence, Health Policy, and Interagency Working and Ethics, complemented by a second professional placement to develop real-world skills. The third year emphasizes population-level health and research, with modules in Population Wellbeing and Risk, Health Inequalities, and an Independent Research Project, alongside a final professional placement to consolidate practical expertise.
