COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Computer Science program provides a comprehensive curriculum that balances theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on experience. In the first year, students develop essential programming skills through Object Oriented Programming I and II, supported by programming laboratory sessions that encourage practical application. Foundational topics such as mathematical structures, machine fundamentals, and mathematical methods for computer science provide the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary for advanced study, while modules on software design and internet services introduce students to core principles of software development and networked systems. Academic integrity is also emphasized from the outset, ensuring students develop responsible research and professional practices. In the second year, the focus shifts to applied computing, with modules covering software engineering, operating systems, databases, algorithms and complexity, and an introduction to information security. Collaborative team projects offer experience in planning, designing, and implementing software solutions, fostering teamwork, project management, and communication skills essential for professional environments. The final year culminates in an individual project, allowing students to explore a specific area of interest in depth, demonstrating their technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
