COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA User Experience Design program is structured to provide a comprehensive education in designing, leading and implementing user-centred experiences across diverse industries. In the first term, students focus on exploring and visualising data, developing essential analytical skills to understand user behaviour, alongside participating in UX Design Lab and Web Marketing and Analytics modules to gain practical experience in creating intuitive digital solutions. Term two builds on this foundation by developing leadership and engagement skills, while studying the psychology of consumer behaviour to better understand the motivations and needs of users. The UX Strategy and Leadership Lab further equips students to plan, strategise and lead design projects, applying creative problem-solving techniques and design thinking principles to real-world scenarios. The final term is dedicated to a major project, allowing students to integrate their learning and produce a substantial body of work that demonstrates their ability to deliver innovative and effective user experiences. Throughout the program, students refine practical skills such as journey mapping, wireframing, storyboarding and ethnographic research, while also cultivating strategic thinking, project management and leadership capabilities. Graduates complete the course with a strong portfolio, prepared to make an impact as UX designers, strategists or consultants across start-ups, corporations, NGOs and social enterprises.
