COURSE CURRICULUM

This program offers a structured pathway into the world of screenwriting and producing, combining creative development with industry-focused training. In the first year, students build strong foundations in visual storytelling, production skills, and script development through modules such as Screenwriting and Producing, Visual Storytelling, Visual Forms, and the Thirty-Minute Script, alongside entrepreneurial exploration and perspectives on industry practice. Common modules provide opportunities to broaden horizons through London Perspectives, Global Perspectives, or language learning, helping students develop communication skills and cultural awareness. The second year moves toward advanced creative and professional practice with modules like The Creative Producer, Showrunner: Series Concept, and Showrunner: The Pilot, offering insights into the development of series and large-scale productions. Students can further strengthen their industry readiness through experiential options such as placements, entrepreneurial challenges, or study abroad opportunities. In the final year, students refine their craft and industry positioning with modules such as The Short Film: The Film and the Filmmaker and The Short Film: The Film and the Market, culminating in a two-part Major Project. Throughout the course, students can tailor their studies with electives or language modules, ensuring a personalized, well-rounded preparation for careers in film, television, and digital storytelling.
