COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Cyber Security program offers a comprehensive overview of key topics necessary for understanding and addressing modern digital threats. Central to the course is cyber security, which provides a foundational understanding of protecting systems, networks and data from malicious attacks. Network security explores the technical aspects of securing network infrastructure and mitigating vulnerabilities. Innovation and responsibility are also emphasised, ensuring students understand the ethical, legal and social implications of cyber technologies. The course includes cyber incidence management, equipping students with the skills to prepare for, detect, and respond to cyber incidents effectively. Business development is integrated to help students understand the strategic role of cyber security in organisational growth and resilience. Cyber forensics introduces investigative techniques for identifying, collecting, and analysing digital evidence in the aftermath of a breach. Open source intelligence (OSINT) teaches students how to extract and utilise publicly available information for investigative and defensive purposes. The program culminates in a dissertation, where students apply their knowledge to a research project that explores a complex challenge in the cyber security field.
