COURSE CURRICULUM

This course is structured over three semesters and is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the global fashion business while developing advanced research, strategic, and entrepreneurial skills. In semesters one and two, students are introduced to the international landscape of fashion and the core research methodologies that will underpin their academic and practical development. They learn how to critically apply research frameworks to their own practice, forming a strong foundation for future projects. Strategic management and leadership topics are explored in depth, helping students strengthen their decision-making and entrepreneurial abilities. Students also engage with key areas such as brand innovation and financial management, gaining insight into how businesses adapt to market changes and emerging technologies. One of the highlights of this stage is a project focused on digital acceleration, where students investigate how data and digital tools are reshaping the fashion industry. The modules covered during these semesters include The Fashion Business and Global Fashion Business Environment, Research Methods and Practice, Strategic Management and Leadership, Finance and Risk Management, Digital Acceleration and Data for Fashion, and Entrepreneurship and Brand Innovation.In semester three, students apply their learning to address a real-world business research problem through a final fashion business project. This could take the form of an industry-commissioned report or an entrepreneurial venture concept, complete with a business plan and professional pitch. The final project encourages students to contribute original insights while building on existing research, showcasing their ability to think strategically, work independently, and develop viable business solutions. Supported by expert tutors and industry mentors, students graduate with the skills, confidence, and practical experience needed to lead and innovate in the fashion business sector. Teaching occurs from Monday to Friday, with some sessions possibly extending into the evening to accommodate collaborative and industry-focused activities.
