COURSE CURRICULUM

This course is structured across three semesters, each designed to progressively build expertise in digital design, technology, and innovation. In semester one, students focus on developing foundational skills in 3D printing, virtual environments, and volumetric data capture. The curriculum emphasizes collaborative learning, encouraging students to engage with peers and industry professionals while exploring radical project proposals. Students are introduced to emerging technologies such as AI, Web3, AR, VR, XR, digital fashion, and metaverse asset creation. Training is provided on industry-standard software including Stable Diffusion, CLO3D, MD, Adobe Substance Suite, Blender, Cinema4D, Unity, and Rhino. Modules for this semester include Introduction to Digital Fashion Technology and Mixed Reality, with teaching scheduled Monday to Friday, including possible evening sessions.In semester two, students refine their skills through prototypes, case studies, and digital workflow experimentation. Emphasis is placed on market focus, innovation, ethical responsibility, and sustainability. One-on-one sessions with tutors and industry experts offer guidance on ideation, sampling, and workflow development. This semester’s modules, Industry Project: Proof of Concept and New Technologies and Experimentation, provide a platform for students to define and test their final project ideas through hands-on, iterative development.Semester three is dedicated to the Final Major Project (FMP). Students submit a statement of intent and a detailed proposal outlining their objectives and timeline. With continued support from academic staff and industry mentors, students work towards producing a final outcome that highlights disruptive thinking, technical innovation, and digital design excellence. The final work is presented to industry leaders, major brands, and media in partnership with London Fashion Week, offering valuable exposure and real-world feedback. This semester, like the others, involves full-time teaching hours throughout the week. Overall, the course is highly immersive and prepares students to lead in the future of digital fashion and design innovation.
