COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Hospitality, Events and Tourism Management provides a comprehensive understanding of the global visitor economy and the interconnected industries of tourism, hospitality, and events. The program develops both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing students for leadership roles in dynamic, service-focused sectors. Core modules explore key areas such as digital marketing and consumer experience, financial and operational management, leadership development, and research methods. Students learn how hospitality and tourism organisations operate, how customer behaviour is influenced in a global context, and how to create effective marketing and management strategies across diverse cultural settings. A strong emphasis is placed on responsible management, sustainability, and ethical leadership, supported by mentoring from industry professionals through the Bacchus Mentoring program. Optional modules allow students to specialise in areas such as global events, dark tourism, revenue management, and sustainable event planning, or to focus on hospitality or event operations through practical simulation-based learning. The program also includes opportunities to undertake live projects and apply learning in real-world contexts. The course concludes with a research project, which may take the form of a dissertation or a client-based study, allowing students to demonstrate advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Overall, it prepares graduates for careers in hospitality management, tourism development, and global events industries.
