COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law with Business LLB (Hons) program combines legal education with business knowledge, giving students a strong understanding of how law operates within commercial environments. In Year 1, students build core legal foundations through subjects such as legal method, contract law, criminal law, and public law, while also gaining insight into business organisations, management, and strategy through Foundations of Business. Year 2 develops specialist legal knowledge in areas including company law, European Union law, land law, and tort law, alongside optional modules such as employment law, entrepreneurship, international business law, environmental law, and organisational behaviour. Students explore how law influences businesses, markets, employment, trade, and wider society while developing analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. In the final year, students study advanced areas such as commercial law, equity and trusts, and international trade law, while choosing from a broad range of specialist options including business ethics, human rights, computer law and artificial intelligence, medical law, sports law, immigration law, and equality law. Practical learning opportunities such as mooting, placements, legal research, and the Law in Action module help students apply legal theory to real-world situations. Throughout the course, students build professional, communication, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for careers in law, business, governance, compliance, consultancy, or further professional legal training.
