COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Management BA (Hons) prepares students for careers in global organisations by developing an understanding of how businesses operate across different cultural, economic and political environments. The course focuses on key areas such as international management, decision-making, resource allocation and long-term sustainability. In the first year, students build foundations in finance, entrepreneurship, global business environments, work and employment, and responsible management, while also developing core academic and professional skills through practice-based learning and international collaboration projects. The second year deepens this knowledge through modules in international business strategy, organisational behaviour, marketing, sustainability, trade and markets, alongside employability development and optional specialist topics such as accounting, people management, supply chains and business analytics. Students also begin preparing for placements and develop research skills for later study. In the final year, the course emphasises advanced strategic thinking, consultancy practice, governance, ethics, law, innovation and change management, as well as contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence and international HRM. Students also undertake professional practice development and may choose optional modules in leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics, marketing and finance. Across all three years, the program combines theory with applied learning, industry engagement and real-world case studies to build analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Graduates are equipped to work in diverse international business roles, with strong awareness of global challenges, responsible management and the ability to operate effectively in complex and changing business environments.
