COURSE CURRICULUM

The Events Management BSc (Hons) program combines creativity, leadership, sustainability and practical industry experience to prepare students for careers in tourism, hospitality and events. In Year 1, students develop academic, professional and management skills while learning about the experience economy, event planning, global industry trends and sustainable practices through case studies, field trips and live projects. Optional modules introduce marketing, data literacy and business in society. Year 2 focuses on managing sustainable event projects, people management, employability, digital marketing and research methods. Students gain hands-on experience organising professional events, analysing risk, stakeholder engagement and event evaluation, while optional modules explore business strategy, social media, revenue management, consumer behaviour, sustainability and creative industries. In Year 3, students strengthen leadership, research and analytical skills through responsible leadership studies, industry insights and an independent research project. Optional modules allow specialisation in business analytics, entrepreneurship, financial decision-making, food and culture, international business strategies, hospitality operations, international management, tourism impact analysis and work-based learning. Throughout the degree, students engage with real industry challenges, sustainability issues and global business trends while building communication, teamwork, problem-solving and professional skills needed for careers in event management and related industries.
