Power System Economics develops an understanding of the design, operation, analysis, and economic management of modern electrical power systems, exploring how energy markets, supply, demand, and pricing influence the sustainability and reliability of energy networks. Introduction to Nanotechnology introduces the science and applications of nanoscale materials and devices, highlighting their role in advanced electronics, photonics, energy technologies, and emerging innovations that contribute to improved efficiency and performance. Sustainable Energy Management expands knowledge of energy system optimization by examining technologies and strategies that enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impacts, and support sustainable power generation and consumption. Environmental and Industrial Fluid Dynamics develops expertise in the theories, computational methods, and engineering models used to analyse environmental and industrial fluid flows, which are essential for understanding processes related to wind energy, hydroelectric systems, environmental protection, and industrial operations. Research Methods equips students with the skills required for professional and academic research, covering literature reviews, critical analysis, research design, ethical considerations, data collection, and both quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques using relevant software tools. The programme culminates in the Individual Industrial or Research Project, a major capstone project where students investigate a real engineering or sustainability challenge, apply advanced technical and analytical skills, develop and implement solutions, critically evaluate outcomes, and enhance their professional communication, organization, and project management abilities.
