The MSc International Business curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of global business operations, international strategy, cross-cultural management, and professional development. The program begins with International Business Environment and Strategy, where students examine the political, economic, social, and cultural forces shaping global markets while learning how organizations design and implement strategies that align with international environments and stakeholder expectations. Organisation and Management in the International Context develops knowledge of how organizations operate across borders, focusing on organizational design, team coordination, conflict resolution, knowledge sharing, and effective management practices within diverse international settings. Cross-Cultural Management emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness in leadership, communication, collaboration, and ethical decision-making, enabling students to understand cultural differences and develop strategies for managing people and organizations in multicultural environments. Research Methods for International Business equips students with essential research skills, including problem identification, project planning, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, enabling them to conduct effective research that supports informed management decisions. Professional Practice focuses on personal and professional development by helping students assess their strengths, identify development needs, enhance business acumen, and improve employability through mentoring, diagnostic assessments, workshops, experiential learning activities, and engagement with professional development opportunities. In the final semester, students undertake a substantial independent project that allows them to apply the theories, knowledge, and skills gained throughout the program to a meaningful business challenge. Students can choose between a Business Research Project, which involves producing an academic research paper, presentation, and methodological reflection and is particularly suited to those with significant professional experience or aspirations for doctoral study, or a Consultancy Experience Project, where they work in professional consultancy teams to solve real organizational challenges using advanced research methods and project management frameworks. Through direct engagement with client organizations, students conduct in-depth research, develop evidence-based recommendations, deliver professional presentations, and reflect on their personal and professional growth. Overall, the program develops strategic thinking, analytical ability, leadership, cross-cultural competence, research expertise, and practical problem-solving skills, preparing graduates for successful careers in multinational corporations, international organizations, consulting firms, government agencies, and globally oriented business environments.
