The MSc International Business program provides students with advanced knowledge of global business strategy, international management, cross-cultural leadership, and professional development while offering a unique international study experience through partner institutions across Europe and Asia. The curriculum begins with International Business Environment and Strategy, where students examine political, economic, social, and cultural factors that shape international markets and learn how organizations develop strategies that align with global business environments and stakeholder expectations. Organisation and Management in the International Context develops an understanding of how organizations are designed and managed across borders, focusing on teamwork, conflict resolution, knowledge sharing, and effective organizational coordination in diverse international settings. Cross-Cultural Management emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness, leadership, communication, and ethical decision-making in global organizations, enabling students to understand cultural differences and develop practical solutions for managing multicultural teams and business operations. Research Methods for International Business equips students with the skills needed to formulate research questions, design projects, collect and analyze data, and conduct research that supports informed managerial decision-making. Professional Practice enhances employability and business acumen through self-assessment, mentoring, workshops, experiential learning, and professional development activities that help students create and implement personal career development plans. A distinctive feature of the program is the opportunity to study at international partner institutions such as institutions in Portugal, Italy, France, and Taiwan, where students can specialize in areas including international management, marketing, finance, organizational management, digital marketing, project management, logistics, environmental economics, or global human resource management. During this period, students typically complete a work placement or equivalent project under the supervision of the partner institution, gaining valuable international exposure and practical experience. The program concludes with a mandatory Dissertation, an independent research project that investigates a management or business issue from a global perspective. Students critically evaluate existing theories, conduct primary research, analyze evidence, and develop meaningful conclusions and recommendations. Overall, the degree combines academic rigor, international mobility, practical experience, and research expertise to develop strategic thinking, leadership, analytical, and cross-cultural skills, preparing graduates for careers in multinational corporations, international consulting, global marketing, international management, business development, and other globally focused business professions.
