COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Computer Science provides a comprehensive curriculum that combines advanced software development, system design, emerging technologies, and independent research. The programme includes Advanced Software Engineering, which focuses on modern software development practices, system architecture, and the creation of reliable and scalable applications. Systems Analysis and Design develops the skills needed to analyse business and technical requirements and design effective computing solutions for complex organisational needs. Service-Oriented Cloud Technologies explores cloud computing architectures, distributed systems, and service-based technologies that support modern digital infrastructures. Applied Artificial Intelligence introduces students to AI concepts, techniques, and practical applications, enabling them to develop intelligent solutions for real-world problems. Research Methods equips students with the skills required to conduct academic and professional research, including project planning, critical evaluation of literature, data collection, and analysis. Mobile Interactive Systems examines the design and development of mobile applications and interactive technologies, focusing on user experience, usability, and emerging mobile platforms. The programme culminates in a Major Project, which allows students to undertake an independent investigation into a specialised area of computer science.
