COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Fashion Marketing is a contemporary and industry-focused postgraduate programme designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical expertise in fashion branding, consumer engagement, digital marketing, and strategic business growth. The course combines academic theory with real-world application, enabling students to understand how fashion brands create value, build customer relationships, and compete successfully in global markets. The core Fashion Marketing module develops expertise in marketing strategy, campaign development, consumer behaviour, brand communication, and trend analysis through case studies, live industry projects, guest speakers, and collaborative learning activities. Students learn how creativity and strategic thinking can be integrated to design innovative marketing solutions that address the challenges of the modern fashion industry. The Fashion Industry module focuses on trend forecasting and market analysis, examining cultural, technological, social, and economic changes that influence consumer preferences and shape future opportunities for fashion businesses. Through the Culture and Collaboration module, students work alongside peers from different creative disciplines, strengthening their skills in teamwork, research, communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving. In the second term, students can further customise their learning through optional modules. Industry Practice provides experience working on real-world fashion challenges with industry partners while applying sustainability principles and systems thinking. Creative Enterprise in Fashion supports entrepreneurial ambitions by helping students develop and pitch innovative business ideas. Studio Practice enhances digital and creative skills through immersive technologies, multimedia content creation, and experimental projects. Professional Practice focuses on career development, leadership, and preparing students for future industry roles, while Advancing Research Design strengthens research and analytical capabilities for professional or academic progression. The programme culminates in a substantial 60-credit Personal Project, allowing students to choose between a dissertation, strategic business or marketing plan, or a creative industry-focused project aligned with their career aspirations.
