COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLB (Hons) Law with Business curriculum combines legal education with business and management studies, enabling students to develop a broad skill set that is valuable across both professional fields. In Year 1, students build a foundation in law through modules covering contract law, public law, legal practice, and professional skills, while also studying business analytics and management principles. These modules introduce students to legal reasoning, organisational behaviour, and analytical techniques essential for understanding both legal and commercial environments. In Year 2, students expand their knowledge through the study of civil practice, criminal law, tort law, and international, European, and comparative law. They also explore human resource management and financial markets, gaining insight into the operational and financial aspects of organisations. In the final year, students deepen their expertise through advanced modules in land law and trusts while selecting from a wide range of specialist legal options, including commercial law, company law, employment law, intellectual property law, human rights, international trade law, medical law, and immigration law. Students also choose professional practice modules and business-focused subjects such as international business, investment and portfolio management, global workforce management, and corporate governance. The combination of legal knowledge, business understanding, practical experience, and research skills prepares graduates for careers in law, business management, compliance, consultancy, finance, human resources, and other professional sectors where legal and commercial expertise are highly valued.
