COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Law LLB (Hons) programme provides students with a strong foundation in legal knowledge, professional practice, and commercial awareness across three years of study. In the first year, students develop core legal understanding through modules covering contract law, tort law, public law, international and comparative law, legal reasoning, research skills, and the professional business environment. The course also supports students in developing academic and digital study skills essential for legal education. During the second year, students study advanced legal subjects including criminal law, land law, trusts, commercial law, negotiation, and civil legal practice. Students can also explore specialist areas such as business employment law, family law, and human rights, while gaining practical legal experience through applied legal knowledge modules focused on access to justice and client work. In the final year, students further personalise their studies through a wide range of optional modules including company law, employment law, intellectual property law, international trade law, sports law, and competition law. Business-focused options such as workforce management, corporate governance, and investment management allow students to combine legal and commercial expertise. Practical learning remains central throughout the course, helping students build advocacy, negotiation, research, and professional skills.
