COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Property Finance and Investment curriculum provides students with a strong foundation in real estate, finance, and investment principles through a structured three-year program. In Year 1, students develop essential knowledge through modules such as Surveying Skills 1 and 2, Construction 1, Planning and Land Use, Economics and Valuation, and Law. These modules introduce the fundamentals of property markets, construction processes, land use planning, economic principles, valuation techniques, and legal frameworks relevant to the property sector. In Year 2, students build on this foundation through modules including Property Management and Agency, Property Law, Employability and Commercial Awareness, Development and Planning, Real Estate Economics, and Valuation. This stage focuses on understanding property management practices, market dynamics, economic analysis, professional skills, and the financial factors that influence real estate decisions. In Year 3, the curriculum emphasizes specialist knowledge in investment and finance through modules such as Investment Appraisal and Valuation, Real Estate Funding 1 and 2, Property Investment 1 and 2, and a Research Project. These modules enable students to evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial risk, understand funding strategies, and analyze property portfolios in greater depth. Throughout the program, students develop analytical, financial, commercial, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for careers in property investment, real estate finance, valuation, asset management, consultancy, and related sectors within the property industry.
