COURSE CURRICULUM

The Nursing curriculum is designed to develop students’ knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competence progressively across three years of study. In Year 1, students establish a strong foundation in nursing through modules such as Introduction to Nursing Practice, Integrative Nursing Practice, and Foundations of Applied Nursing Practice. These modules introduce essential nursing concepts, patient-centered care, professional values, communication skills, and the fundamentals of safe and effective healthcare delivery. The Practice Assessment: Year One enables students to demonstrate their developing abilities within clinical settings. In Year 2, students build on this foundation by exploring Evidence in Nursing Practice, Biopsychosocial Approaches in Nursing Practice, and Applied Nursing Practice in Complex Care. These modules focus on evidence-based decision-making, understanding the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence health, and managing more complex care needs. Practice Assessment: Year Two evaluates students’ growing confidence and competence in professional practice. In Year 3, the emphasis shifts toward leadership, innovation, and advanced care management. Through modules such as Innovating and Improving Healthcare Practice, Leadership in Nursing, and Managing Applied Nursing Care, students learn to lead teams, improve healthcare services, and manage complex patient care effectively. The final Practice Assessment confirms readiness for professional registration, ensuring graduates are prepared to provide high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in diverse healthcare environments.
