COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Esports Production programme focuses on the development of skills and knowledge needed to work in the fast-paced esports and live broadcast production industry. In the first year, students are introduced to core concepts through modules such as Introduction to Esports Production, Broadcast Asset Development, Remote Broadcasting, Esports Event Operations, Esports Content Creation, and Broadcast Production Technologies. These modules build a foundation in live production workflows, content creation, and technical broadcasting skills. In the second year, students explore more advanced topics including the Esports Ecosystem, Video Wall Engineering and Content Mapping, Live Esports Broadcast Production Technologies, and an Esports Production Project. A Co Lab module encourages research, experimentation, and creative risk-taking. Students can also choose optional modules such as Introduction to Live Sound Technologies, Festival and Music Events Management, Storyboarding, Performance for Motion Capture, Music Video, Model Making, Prop Making, and Digital Marketing and Communication, allowing them to broaden their creative and technical expertise. In the final year, students work on Industry Briefs and Future Pathways while developing a Final Capstone Project through both preproduction and production stages. They also study Emerging Broadcast Production Technologies to stay current with industry innovations. Across the programme, students gain hands-on experience, technical production skills, teamwork abilities, and industry knowledge, preparing them for careers in esports broadcasting, live event production, content creation, streaming, and broader media and entertainment industries.
