COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Games Technology) – London programme combines the fundamentals of computer science with specialist knowledge in game development, graphics programming, and immersive technologies. In the first year, students establish a strong foundation in programming, computer technology, mathematics, systems analysis and design, and professional development. These modules introduce essential computing concepts and develop the technical and analytical skills required for software engineering and game technology. During the second year, students focus on specialist areas including graphics programming and algorithms, games development systems, digital 3D design, software design and implementation, systems software, and project management. These subjects provide practical experience in developing interactive applications, creating digital assets, and understanding the technologies that power modern games and simulations. In the final year, students undertake an individual project that allows them to apply their knowledge to a substantial and industry-relevant challenge. Students can further tailor their studies by choosing between serious games, which examines the use of games for education and training, or advanced software engineering, which focuses on sophisticated software development techniques.
