COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Music Business and Management (London) programme develops students’ understanding of the modern music industry while building advanced practical, analytical, and technological skills needed for professional success. In Year 1, students are introduced to core areas of the music business through modules covering industry fundamentals, essential music business technologies, live music event management, live music product development, marketing, innovation, and data-driven insights into the industry. These modules provide a strong foundation in how the music sector operates commercially and creatively. In Year 2, students explore more advanced topics such as global music business trends, distribution strategies, industry disruption, and business evolution. They also engage in collaborative research and practical projects focused on music distribution and marketing, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. Optional modules in areas such as music video production, sound design for visual media, songwriting, and live performance enable students to tailor their studies to specific creative interests. In Year 3, students undertake industry-focused learning through professional briefs, future career planning, and a major capstone project that demonstrates their expertise and readiness for employment. A final professional development module supports transition into the industry.
