COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) International Business curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global business operations while developing professional, analytical, and intercultural skills. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation through modules in accounting and finance, management and organisation, marketing, quantitative methods, personal and academic development, and language study. These subjects introduce the core principles required for understanding international business and preparing for future professional challenges. In Year 2, students deepen their knowledge of the international business environment, cross-cultural management, economics, and language learning. They also have the opportunity to gain valuable international experience through study abroad programmes or international internships. Alternatively, students can continue with taught modules, including applied professional development and advanced cultural management, while selecting specialist options such as management accounting, digital marketing and emerging technologies, or global supply chain management. In the final year, the focus shifts towards strategic thinking and professional impact through modules covering international strategic management, global business challenges, and sustainable tourism development. Students also complete either an applied business research project or a sustainability impact project and choose from specialist options including global supply chain strategy, digital customer experience, investment and portfolio management, or further language study. Together, these modules prepare graduates for leadership roles in international organisations and global business environments.
