COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Creative Direction and Curation for Fashion programme is designed to develop students’ creative vision, strategic thinking, and professional skills across a range of fashion and creative industries. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Experiment and Investigate: Introduction to Creative Direction and Curation, Research and Evaluate: Fashion Environments, Cultures and Trends, Ideate and Curate, and The Industry and You. These modules introduce key concepts in creative direction, cultural research, trend analysis, idea development, and industry awareness. In the second year, students advance their practical and conceptual abilities through Curate and Create for Fashion, Direct and Produce for Fashion, and Co Lab: Research, Exploration and Risk-taking. They also have the opportunity to specialise through optional modules including Publishing: Experimental Formats, Telling Stories, Responding to the Visual World, Creative Live Event Production, Web3 and Creative Autonomy, Music Video, Fashion Styling, and Virtual Production. These options allow students to explore different creative disciplines and expand their professional expertise. In the final year, students focus on independent and industry-focused work through Develop, Propose and Create: Negotiated Project, Real World Project, and Personal and Professional Direction. These modules encourage students to apply their knowledge to professional projects while developing their own creative identity. The programme prepares graduates for careers in creative direction, fashion curation, styling, branding, event production, visual communication, and other creative industries.
