COURSE CURRICULUM

The Project Management MSc is a two-year program designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills essential for managing projects across diverse industries. In the first year, students develop foundational expertise through core modules such as Research Methods, Project program and Portfolio Management, Project Organisations and Information Management, Project Change, Risk and Opportunities Management, People in Project Management, and Project Feasibility and Economics. These modules focus on building a strong understanding of project planning, risk assessment, organisational structures, leadership, and financial evaluation, as well as the tools and methodologies required to manage projects effectively. International and EU students also have access to Academic Language Skills support to enhance their communication and academic performance. The second year emphasizes applied learning through the Advanced Practice Semester, allowing students to undertake live projects or practical placements to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. Alongside this, the Research Project enables students to engage in independent, in-depth investigation of a project management topic of their choice, developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills. Together, the program combines rigorous academic study with practical experience, preparing graduates to confidently lead projects, make strategic decisions, and progress in careers in project management, consultancy, and related professional roles.
