COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Marketing with Advanced Practice is structured across two years, combining core and optional modules to provide a balance of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and professional experience. In the first year, students build a strong foundation with core modules such as Research Methods and Analytics for Business Practice, Marketing Research and Analytics, Strategic Marketing for Sustainable Competitive Advantage, and Developing Leadership Capability for Professional Practice, while Academic Language Skills for Postgraduate Business Students supports international and EU students in academic communication. Optional modules such as Branding, Contemporary Issues in Consumer Behaviour, and Global Consumers and Marketplaces allow students to specialise and explore specific marketing areas of interest. In the second year, students apply their learning through major applied projects, including the Business Clinic PG Group Consultancy Project, which is a core 60-credit module providing hands-on experience with real clients, and optional projects such as the Applied Management Work Investigation, Masters’ Management Enquiry, or the Newcastle Business School Masters Dissertation. This structure ensures students develop practical problem-solving abilities, research skills, and strategic marketing expertise. By combining rigorous academic study with applied experience and professional engagement, the program prepares graduates for advanced marketing roles, equipping them with the knowledge, leadership capability, and practical experience necessary to succeed in a dynamic global marketing environment.
