COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business Management MSc with Advanced Practice is a two-year program designed to develop both academic knowledge and practical experience in global business. In Year 1, students complete a combination of core and optional modules that build a strong foundation in international business. Core modules include Research Methods and Analytics for Business Practice, International Business: Contexts and Challenges, Globalisation, Innovation and Sustainability, and Developing Leadership Capability in an Intercultural Context, which together enhance analytical, strategic, and leadership skills. Academic Language Skills for Postgraduate Business Students supports international and EU learners. Students can tailor their studies through optional modules such as Global Consumers and Marketplaces, International Trade and Finance, Strategic Frameworks for International Business, and Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship, allowing them to focus on specific interests within global business. In Year 2, the Advanced Practice stage provides opportunities to apply knowledge in real-world contexts. Students undertake a Business Clinic Postgraduate Group Consultancy Project, working on live business challenges, and can choose from options such as an Applied Management Work Investigation, a Masters Dissertation, or a Management Enquiry. This structure ensures a balance of theoretical learning and hands-on experience, preparing graduates for successful careers in international business and management.
