COURSE CURRICULUM

The Engineering Management with Advanced Practice MSc is structured over two years to provide a balanced combination of technical knowledge, management skills, and practical experience. In the first year, students study core modules that build a strong foundation in both engineering and business. These include Sustainable Development for Engineering Practitioners and Technology Entrepreneurship and Product Development, which focus on innovation and sustainability. Modules such as Engineering Quality Management, Engineering Finance, and Engineering Management Data Analysis develop essential skills in managing resources, ensuring quality, and making data-driven decisions. Research Methods prepares students for independent study and critical analysis, while international and EU students benefit from an Academic Language Skills module to strengthen technical communication. In the second year, students undertake an Advanced Practice Semester, gaining hands-on experience through consultancy or industry-related projects, which enhances employability and professional skills. This is complemented by a Research Project, where students apply their knowledge to solve real-world engineering and management challenges. Overall, the program integrates theoretical learning with practical application, equipping graduates with the expertise, leadership abilities, and industry experience required to succeed in engineering management roles.
