COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Management MSc (with Advanced Practice) is structured over two years, combining core academic modules with practical industry experience. In the first year, students complete core modules, each typically worth 20 credits, including Research Methods and Analytics for Business Practice, which develops research and analytical skills, and Leadership and Management Development, focusing on building effective leadership capabilities. Leadership for Responsible Change explores ethical and sustainable decision-making, while Strategy and Marketing examines how organisations achieve competitive advantage. Globalisation, Innovation and Sustainability provides insight into international business environments and responsible growth, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship encourages creative thinking and business development. International and EU students may also take Academic Language Skills for Postgraduate Business Students to enhance academic communication, although this module carries no credits. In the second year, students undertake advanced practice through a combination of core and optional modules. The Business Clinic PG Group Consultancy Project, worth 60 credits, offers hands-on experience working on real business challenges for clients. Additional options include the Applied Management Work Investigation, the Masters Dissertation, or the Masters’ Management Enquiry, each worth 60 credits. Overall, the program develops leadership, analytical, and practical skills, preparing graduates for management roles in a global business environment.
