COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Analytics MSc (with Advanced Practice) is structured over two years, combining core analytical training with applied professional experience. In the first year, students complete core modules, each typically worth 20 credits, including Business Statistics and Data Analytics, which develops quantitative analysis skills, and Data Management and Visualization, focusing on organising and presenting data effectively. Research Methods and Analytics for Business Practice builds research and analytical capabilities, while Forecasting and Predictive Analytics equips students with techniques to analyse trends and make data-driven predictions. Analytics for Competitive Advantage explores how organisations use data strategically, and Developing Leadership Capability for Professional Practice enhances leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills. International and EU students may also take Academic Language Skills for Postgraduate Business Students to support academic communication, although this module carries no credits. In the second year, students engage in advanced practice through a combination of core and optional modules. The Business Clinic PG Group Consultancy Project, worth 60 credits, provides hands-on experience working on real business problems for clients. Additional options include the Applied Management Work Investigation, the Masters Dissertation, or the Masters’ Management Enquiry, each worth 60 credits.
