COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Artificial Intelligence Technology (with Advanced Practice) is structured over two years, combining core technical modules with practical industry experience. In the first year, all modules are core and typically carry 20 credits, providing a strong foundation in both technical and professional areas. Students study Information Governance and Cyber Security to understand data protection and secure systems, and Leadership in a Digital Age to develop skills for managing innovation and digital transformation. Programming for AI builds essential coding expertise, while Contemporary Computing and Digital Technologies explores current trends in the IT sector. Artificial Intelligence for IoT focuses on integrating AI with connected devices, and Machine Learning on Cloud develops skills in building and deploying scalable models using cloud platforms. The Professional Practices in Computing and Digital Technologies Project allows students to apply their learning to real-world or research-based challenges. In the second year, students undertake an Advanced Practice stage, choosing from options such as a consultancy project, research project, internship, professional skills practice, business start-up, or design innovation, each worth 60 credits. This stage provides valuable practical experience and enhances employability.
