COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sport and Exercise Psychology MSc at Northumbria University is structured around a combination of theoretical, practical, and research-focused modules designed to prepare graduates for careers in sport, exercise, and health psychology. International and EU students take Academic Language Skills for PG Psychology Students to support academic writing and communication at the postgraduate level. Qualitative and Quantitative Methods provides essential research skills for designing, analysing, and interpreting empirical studies, supporting evidence-based practice. Professional Skills prepares students to operate effectively in applied and organisational contexts, emphasising ethical practice and professional development. The MSc Thesis allows students to undertake an independent research project, applying theoretical knowledge, research methods, and practical skills to a topic of personal or professional interest.
