COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Sport Management MSc curriculum is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the global sports industry through a mix of core and optional modules. Core modules include International Resource Management for Sport, which explores how resources are managed within sport organisations, and The Sport Marketing Process, which focuses on strategies for promoting sport products and services. Strategic Sport Policy, Governance and Leadership examines the structures and leadership approaches that shape the industry, while Research Methods equips students with essential skills for conducting academic and practical research. Academic Language Skills for postgraduate sport, exercise and rehabilitation students supports international and EU learners in developing effective academic communication. Students can tailor their studies through optional modules such as Sport Professional Practice, Sponsorship and Strategic Sport Brand Management, and International Sport Event Management, allowing them to specialise in areas of interest. The program culminates in a 60-credit postgraduate project, where students apply their knowledge to an independent research or practical project. Overall, the course combines theoretical insight with practical application, preparing graduates for careers in sport management, marketing, event management, and leadership roles within the global sports industry.
