COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Hospitality and Tourism Management MSc curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the global hospitality and tourism industry through a combination of core and optional modules. Core modules include Hospitality, Tourism and Globalisation, which explores the impact of global trends on the industry, and International Hospitality Management, which focuses on operational and strategic management within hospitality organisations. Responsible Marketing Strategies in Tourism, Hospitality and Events develops skills in promoting services ethically and effectively, while Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality examines approaches to responsible and environmentally conscious practices. Research Methods and Analytics for Business Practice equips students with essential research and data analysis skills, and Academic Language Skills for Postgraduate Business Students supports international and EU learners in developing academic communication. Students can tailor their studies through optional modules such as Entrepreneurship: Context, Process and Practice and Placemaking and Cultural Consumption. In the final stage, students choose between a Masters Dissertation, a Management Enquiry, or an Enterprise Project focused on a business start-up, each worth 60 credits. This flexible structure allows students to apply their knowledge in academic or practical contexts, preparing them for careers in hospitality, tourism, and related global industries.
