COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Science MSc program is structured around a set of core modules that provide a comprehensive foundation in key areas of computing. Database Modelling focuses on designing and managing efficient data systems, while Object Oriented Programming develops coding skills using modern programming principles. Systems Analysis and Design with UML equips students with the ability to analyse business requirements and design effective software solutions using industry-standard modelling techniques. Website Development and Deployment introduces the creation and implementation of web applications, and Computer Networks and Operating Systems provides an understanding of how computer systems communicate and function. Research Methods and Project Management prepares students to plan, manage, and execute technical projects effectively, while also developing academic research skills. A major component of the program is the MSc Computer Science and Digital Technologies Project, a 60-credit module that allows students to undertake an independent project, applying their knowledge to solve real-world computing problems. For international and EU students, the Academic Language Skills module offers additional support in developing academic communication, although it carries no credits. Overall, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, equipping students with the technical and professional skills required for successful careers in the computing industry.
