COURSE CURRICULUM

This program is designed to equip students with a combination of core business knowledge and specialist expertise in hospitality and tourism management, with most modules carrying 20 credits and the masters dissertation worth 60 credits. Students begin with leadership and management in professional practice, developing skills in effective leadership, team management and professional decision-making within organisational settings. Strategy, innovation and change explores how businesses maintain competitive advantage, implement change and respond to evolving market conditions. Data analytics and project management for business intelligence provides students with the skills to analyse complex data, manage projects efficiently and support informed business decisions. The international business simulation module offers a practical, experiential learning environment where students apply theory to real-world global business scenarios. Specialist modules focus on the hospitality and tourism sector, with hospitality management with digital innovation exploring how emerging technologies and digital strategies enhance service delivery, operational efficiency and customer experience. International tourism management and development examines the global tourism industry, addressing issues such as sustainable tourism, market trends, destination management and cross-cultural business practices. The program is underpinned by academic and employability skills and research methods, preparing students for professional practice and independent study. The masters dissertation allows students to undertake a substantial research project, demonstrating critical thinking, analytical ability and practical application of business and industry-specific knowledge.
