COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Analytics MSc curriculum combines core and optional modules to develop strong analytical, technical, and professional skills. Core modules, typically worth 20 credits, include Business Statistics and Data Analytics, which introduces quantitative methods for data analysis, and Data Management and Visualization, focusing on organising data and presenting insights effectively. Research Methods and Analytics for Business Practice equips students with the skills to conduct and apply research in business contexts, while Forecasting and Predictive Analytics develops techniques for analysing trends and making data-driven predictions. Analytics for Competitive Advantage explores how organisations use data to improve performance and gain strategic benefits, and Developing Leadership Capability for Professional Practice enhances leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills. International and EU students may also take Academic Language Skills for Postgraduate Business Students to support academic communication, though this module carries no credits. Optional modules provide flexibility, allowing students to choose between the NBS Masters Consultancy Project, the Masters Dissertation, or the Masters’ Management Enquiry, each worth 60 credits, offering opportunities for practical experience, independent research, or applied business investigation.
