COURSE CURRICULUM

The Artificial Intelligence MSc curriculum combines core modules to provide a strong foundation in programming, system design, and advanced AI applications. Core modules include Object Oriented Programming, which develops essential coding skills, and Systems Analysis and Design with UML, focusing on structured system development and modelling techniques. Research Methods and Project Management equips students with the ability to plan, conduct, and manage research and technical projects effectively. AI and Digital Technology introduces key concepts and real-world applications of artificial intelligence, while AI Studio offers hands-on experience in designing and implementing AI solutions. Intelligent User Interfaces explores the development of interactive systems that enhance user experience through intelligent design. The MSc Computer Science and Digital Technologies Project, a major 60-credit component, allows students to undertake an extensive independent project, applying their knowledge to solve complex, real-world problems. International and EU students may also take Academic Language Skills for Computer and Information Sciences to strengthen academic communication, although this module carries no credits. Overall, the program integrates theoretical learning with practical application, enabling students to develop technical expertise, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for careers in artificial intelligence, software development, data science, and other technology-focused roles in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
