COURSE CURRICULUM

The Law (Cyber Law) LLM program offers a structured combination of core modules that develop both foundational legal skills and specialised knowledge in technology-related law. It begins with Academic Language Skills for PG Law Students, a non-credit module designed to support international and EU students in strengthening their academic writing and communication. Intellectual Property introduces key legal principles protecting digital and creative works, which are central to the cyber domain. Research for Advanced Legal Studies equips students with advanced research methodologies, preparing them for the Legal Research Project, a 60-credit dissertation that allows in-depth exploration of a cyber law topic. Specialist modules include Cyber, Space and Telecommunications: The Global Context, which examines international regulatory frameworks, and Cyber Law, focusing on legal issues arising in digital environments. The Law of Data Management addresses data protection, privacy, and governance, while Artificial Intelligence and the Law explores the legal and ethical challenges posed by emerging AI technologies. Together, these modules provide a comprehensive understanding of cyber law, combining theoretical, practical, and research-based learning to prepare students for careers in legal practice, policy, or the technology sector.
