COURSE CURRICULUM

The Economics BSc (Hons) is a four-year program designed to build strong analytical, quantitative, and professional skills in economics and related fields. In Year 1, students develop a solid foundation through modules such as Introduction to Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Financial Decision Making, and Accounting, Economics and Finance in a Global Business Environment, alongside training in mathematics and statistics and support for career development. Academic language support is also provided for international and EU students. Year 2 deepens this knowledge with core modules including Econometrics, Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, World Economy, and Professional Practice, strengthening students’ understanding of global economic systems and analytical methods, with the option to study abroad for international experience. Year 3 offers flexible opportunities for practical learning through work placements, study abroad, or blended programs, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world and global contexts. In Year 4, students focus on advanced topics such as Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Econometrics, and Sustainable Development and Responsible Business, alongside options to complete a dissertation, management enquiry, or consultancy project. Overall, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, preparing graduates for careers in economics, finance, business, and related professional sectors.
