COURSE CURRICULUM

The Economics BSc (Hons) is a three-year program designed to develop strong analytical, quantitative, and professional skills in economics. In Year 1, students build a solid foundation through modules such as Introduction to Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Financial Decision Making, and Accounting, Economics and Finance in a Global Business Environment, alongside training in mathematics and statistics and support for career development. Academic language support is also available for international and EU students. Year 2 expands this knowledge with core modules including Econometrics, Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, World Economy, and Professional Practice, strengthening students’ understanding of economic theory and global financial systems. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad, gaining valuable international experience and a broader perspective. In Year 3, the focus shifts to advanced and applied topics such as Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Econometrics, and Sustainable Development and Responsible Business. Students can further enhance their learning by choosing to complete a dissertation, management enquiry, or consultancy project, allowing them to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on critical thinking, data analysis, and practical application, preparing graduates for careers in economics, finance, business, and related professional fields.
