COURSE CURRICULUM

The Architecture BA (Hons) program is structured over four years to develop students’ design, technical, and theoretical skills in architecture. In Year 1, students are introduced to core concepts through studio-based design projects, supported by modules in architectural theory and technology, helping them build a strong foundation in creative and technical thinking. Year 2 builds on this knowledge with more advanced design projects and deeper exploration of theory and technology, allowing students to refine their design approach and critical understanding. In Year 3, students have the option to undertake a study abroad year, providing valuable international experience and exposure to different cultural and architectural contexts, which can broaden their perspective and enhance their learning. In the final year, students complete advanced design projects alongside higher-level study in architectural theory and technology, enabling them to develop a personal and professional approach to design. Academic language support is available for international and EU students throughout the program. Overall, the course offers a balanced combination of practical design work, theoretical knowledge, and technical skills, preparing students for further professional training or careers in architecture and the built environment.
