COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Entrepreneurship program is designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to develop and manage successful ventures. In Year 1, students build a foundation through modules in financial decision making, preparing for professional practice, business, economy and society, introduction to marketing, introduction to entrepreneurship, and student enterprise activities focused on building a venture team, with academic language support provided for international and EU students. Year 2 expands entrepreneurial and business skills with core modules in creativity and innovation, entrepreneurial management, entrepreneurship theory, business research and analysis, and developing a venture team, alongside optional modules such as born global enterprise, international digital economy, and recognising entrepreneurial opportunities, allowing exploration of global and digital business contexts. Year 3 offers flexible practical experiences through optional placements abroad, work placements, study abroad programs, blended placement years, or business start-up placements, enabling students to apply their learning in real-world settings. In Year 4, students focus on advanced entrepreneurship topics including contemporary issues in entrepreneurship, student enterprise leadership, digital entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems and policy, family business studies, and business ethics for international management, alongside optional research and consultancy projects. Throughout the program, emphasis on practical learning, collaboration, and enterprise development prepares graduates to launch businesses, contribute to start-ups, or pursue entrepreneurial roles within established organisations.
