COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Entrepreneurship (Extended Degree) BA (Hons) program provides a comprehensive pathway for developing entrepreneurial skills alongside a strong foundation in business principles. The foundation year introduces core modules in professional development, business environment and functions, business information management, entrepreneurship and innovation, responsible business, and leadership and management projects, preparing students for practical and professional challenges. In Year 1, students build on this foundation with financial decision making, preparing for professional practice, business, economy and society, introduction to marketing, introduction to entrepreneurship, and student enterprise activities focused on building a venture team, with academic language support available for international and EU students. Year 2 focuses on creativity and innovation, entrepreneurial management, entrepreneurship theory, and student enterprise development, while offering optional modules such as born global enterprise, international digital economy, and recognising entrepreneurial opportunities, allowing students to explore international and digital business contexts. In Year 3, students engage with advanced and applied topics including contemporary issues in entrepreneurship, student enterprise leadership, digital entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems and policy, family business studies, business ethics for international management, and optional management enquiry, dissertation, or consultancy projects. Across all years, the program emphasizes practical experience, collaborative learning, and enterprise development, preparing graduates to launch their own ventures, contribute to start-ups, or pursue entrepreneurial roles within established organisations.
