COURSE CURRICULUM

The Architecture BA (Hons) program is structured over three years to develop students’ creative, technical, and theoretical understanding of architecture. In Year 1, students are introduced to the fundamentals of architectural design through studio-based projects, alongside modules in theory and technology that build a foundation in architectural thinking and technical knowledge. Year 2 expands on this by engaging students in more complex design projects, while deepening their understanding of architectural theory and technology, helping them develop critical thinking and more refined design skills. Throughout these stages, students learn to integrate creativity with practical considerations such as materials, construction, and environmental factors. In the final year, students undertake advanced design projects that allow them to explore and define their personal architectural approach. They continue to study theory and technology at a higher level, enabling them to address more sophisticated design challenges. For international and EU students, academic language support is available throughout the program. Overall, the course provides a balanced combination of design practice, theoretical knowledge, and technical skills, preparing graduates for further professional training or careers within the field of architecture and the built environment.
