COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Artificial Intelligence & Computer Science is structured over three semesters to provide a comprehensive education in both foundational and advanced computing skills, with a focus on artificial intelligence and practical applications. In the first semester, students build core knowledge through modules in Programming for Data Applications, Fundamentals of Computation, Data, and Algorithms, and Theory and Applications of Data Analytics, alongside AI & Data Ethics, which introduces the societal and ethical implications of AI technologies. These courses establish strong technical and analytical foundations. The second semester develops advanced programming, system design, and data management skills, with courses in Programming Design Paradigms, Web Services, and Database Management Systems, enabling students to design, implement, and maintain complex computing solutions and applications. The third semester is dedicated to the Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Project, a substantial independent research and development project that allows students to integrate their learning and apply AI methodologies to real-world challenges. Throughout the program, students gain experience in software design, algorithmic problem solving, data management, and ethical AI practice, while also developing teamwork and project management skills. Graduates are equipped with the technical expertise, analytical abilities, and practical experience needed to pursue careers in AI, software development, data science, and other advanced computing roles in industry and research.
